The ECAT ACCEL is a high-resolution positron emission tomography scanner for imaging biochemical processes and metabolism for whole body applications. This multi-detector ring scanner includes both 2D and 3D acquisition and reconstruction in static and dynamic modes. The ECAT ACCEL provides great versatility with clinical applications for cardiology, neurology, and oncology. This 47 image plane system has a 16.2 cm axial field of view and has proven success in both clinics and research institutions.
